What we keep, and what we don't.
This is the short version. The longer version arrives before public launch and a lawyer will read it.
What Sonniarium is
Sonniarium is a private experiential-fiction product. You describe a scene from your memory — or your invention — and step into it. A narrator (named Nora) renders the scene in real time. Saved scenes live in your library; you can return to them and reread them.
What we collect
- Your inputs. The four answers you give before a scene begins — location, year, description, mood — are stored as part of your playthrough.
- Your scenes. Saved scenes (the full transcript) are stored so you can return to them. Unsaved scenes are deleted shortly after the session ends.
- Your email. Collected at the moment of subscription so we can sign you back in via magic link.
- Payment information. Stripe processes payments; we never see or store your card number.
- Standard server logs. Browser type, IP address, page accesses, for operational and security purposes only.
What we do not collect
- The name of the other character. The input flow never asks for a real person's name. If you type a name, the narrator does not use it; she refers to the character by descriptive epithet drawn from your description.
- Photos. No photo uploads anywhere in the product.
- Social media handles. No social-media linking.
- Real-person identification of any kind. By design.
The author posture
You are the author of your inputs. The render is your version of the scene — not a model of any identified real person. The same legal posture applies as when a novelist writes a character inspired by someone she knew.
Who sees your scenes
Only you. There are no sharing features. The library is yours.
How long we keep things
- Saved scenes: as long as you keep your account.
- Unsaved scenes: deleted shortly after the session ends.
- Anonymous-session cookies: 24 hours.
- Subscription records: as long as you're a subscriber, plus a short retention period after for accounting.
How to delete your account
Email us. (This page becomes a self-serve flow before public launch.)
